This nonprofit video storytelling campaign was a local impact project for OFAN. I helped immigrants in our community share their stories, safely and on their own terms.
This nonprofit video storytelling campaign was a local impact project for OFAN. I helped immigrants in our community share their stories, safely and on their own terms.
First, I reached out to local nonprofits and coordinated advocates and immigrants who wanted to take part. Then I promoted the project through public events.
Next, I produced and edited each video. I also built a website and set up a crowdfunding campaign to collect donations.
Finally, I distributed the videos on YouTube and Instagram. I planned and approved every post in Buffer to keep the schedule consistent.
As a result, the campaign earned about 4,374 total views across channels. Instagram drove roughly 87% of that traffic, with 3.8K views and 278 interactions. Notably, 72% of those views came from existing followers, which shows strong community trust.
Meanwhile, the story-driven YouTube videos reached a click-through rate of up to 25.7%. In addition, the website gained 42 new visitors, who stayed about two minutes per visit.
